At Ortega NeuroRx, we are transforming the landscape of neurodegenerative disease treatment by developing precision immunotherapies that target the earliest immune mechanisms driving Alzheimer’s. Our science centers on self-reactive CD8 T cells, a newly identified driver of age-related neuroinflammation. These cells accumulate with age, infiltrate the brain, and contribute to neuronal death well before traditional hallmarks like amyloid and tau are detectable. Ortega’s therapies are designed to block these T cells across three core dimensions: their presence in circulation, their homing to the brain, and their neurotoxic function once there.

Guided by proprietary human biomarkers and validated across diverse preclinical models, Ortega’s approach enables upstream immune modulation with high specificity and scalability.
